One type of this procedure uses a balloon expander that is placed under the breast tissue to stretch the skin. This is done so that the new implant has space to be placed in. After the skin has stretched enough, the implant is put into place. When undergoing breast reconstruction surgery, some women prefer to enhance or lift the other breast to create symmetry. |
